HE KNEW WHO WOULD NOT BELIEVE

SATURDAY OF THE THIRD WEEK OF EASTER

Master, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. We have come to believe and are convinced that you are the Holy One of God. (JN 6:68-69)

That verse might sum up our entire lives as Catholics. This quarantine magnifies that desire for our Lord. There is no substitute, not even virtual Mass and spiritual communion can fulfill our longing for the Lord in the Eucharist. Many teachings of our faith are difficult. Especially, the Eucharist. "Does this shock you?" Yes, Jesus, it does shock us that we are to eat your flesh. We have seen some of our friends and family turn from the Lord and no longer walk with you. From the beginning, He knew who would not believe. To whom shall we go? Where else can offer us the bread of life? Some churches offer teachings that are not so difficult. Only the Catholic faith has the real presence of the body of Christ. It might appear to us as bread, but when seen through the eyes of faith, we know there is something greater present. We have come to believe. Through this Sacrament, grant us, Holy One of God, life and protection. Amen. #lifeeverlasting #blessing #blessed #Eucharist #Catholic #bestlife #notalone #Catholiclife #belief #faith #breadoflife #sacrament
